Health Certificates
Official certificates of veterinary inspection (OCVI's) may only be completed by a current licensed veterinarian.
To obtain a health certificate
Contact a local veterinarian to visit the location the animal is housed.

All FJSC series shows utilize the showman app to enter for showmanship and swine entries. You will need to determine if you are going to show in the market show (barrows or gilts) or if you're going to show in the breeding gilt show (gilts only).
Advantages of market vs breeding, the market show is before the breeding show which will get you home earlier.

Weigh In at the show
Market show
ALL pigs both barrows and gilts (purebred and cross) must be weighed at check in either the night before the show or the morning of the show.

Breeding purebred gilts,
NO WEIGH IN, these gilts are shown by DOB

ALL crossbred gilts are weighed in and shown by weight

How Long is the Day
Typical shows will start at 8:30 to 9:00 a.m. with most shows being complete at 5:00 p.m. depending on number of entries.
Weight limits
Market crossbreds and purebreds have no minimum weight with a maximum weight of 290lbs.
Breeding crossbreds have no minimum weight with a maximum weight of 320lbs.
Breeding purebreds are shown by their date of birth but still must be under the maximum weight of 320lbs.
Do I have to show my own pig for showmanship
No you don't have to show your own pig in showmanship. It is recommended to use yoru own pig for showmanship, but you may use another exhibitors pig as well.
It is your responsibility to make arrangements with another exhibitor.
Showmanship age divisions
showmanship age divisions will be broken as follows PeeWee (8 and under with assistance) Novie (8 and under) Junior (9-12) Intermediate (13-15) Senior (16-21)
Parking
All FJSC circuit shows are independently run shows with all rules being implemented by the individual shows. Parking will be determined by the individual shows, please refer to the FJSC circuit shows for parking requirements.

How do I apply for the FJSC junior board
To apply for the FJSC junior board of directors, you will submit an application during the open enrollement period. An interview with the senior board will be scheduled.
